1 Columbia Organist A Publication of the Greater Columbia Chapter of the American Guild of Organists Charles Hogan’s remarkable experience in training children’s choirs has brought him to the wonderful responsibility of Chairman of the Training Courses Committee of the Royal School of Church in America. The RSCMA holds numerous courses every summer across the USA, reaching thousands of young boy and girl choristers. Charles is currently the Organist- Choirmaster at Christ Church Cathedral, Cincinnati, Ohio. He has served previously as church musician in Burlington, NC, and professor at Elon University, the University of Dayton, Earlham College, and the University of Kentucky. For some years he has been course manager of the RSCMA Carolina Girls Course now housed in Raleigh, NC. A large number of choristers from the Carolinas have benefited from the excellence of these summer courses. His musical education was gained at the University of Kentucky and the College- Conservatory of Music of the University of Cincinnati.
